Ukrgasbank is Among the Biggest Banks of Ukraine
In accordance with the NBU Commission on Supervision and Banking Regulation resolution ‘On Division of Banks into Groups’ No.975 dated 20 December 2013, Ukrgasbank holds the 15th position in the 1st group of banks (assets above UAH 21 billion).
The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) divides banks into groups once a year. Currently the main criterion of such division is amount of assets, while earlier NBU took into account amount of regulatory capital in addition to assets. The division of banks into groups facilitates carrying out a comparative analysis of banks activity and allocation of supervision functions and duties between the central office and territorial administrations of the NBU.
In 2014 threshold amounts of assets for the first and second groups of banks increased by UAH 1 billion compared to 2013 (the threshold amount of assets for the first group of banks has increased by UAH 6 billion or 40% since 2012).
