Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC was certified in the international payment system MasterCard International and has obtained permit for issuing chip cards for MasterCard

On March 24, 2007, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC was certified in the international payment system MasterCard International and has obtained permit for issuing chip cards for MasterCard.

Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC was certified according to the current requirements of the international payment system. UkrCard Interbank Processing Centre has also been certified within this project.

Issue of chip cards for MasterCard payment system will enable to further minimize the risks of fraudulent operations. In the nearest future, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC plans to issue over 50 thousand chip cards for different products: Maestro, MasterCard Electronic, MasterCard Standard, MasterCard Gold and MasterCard Platinum. Therefore, today Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC represents 29 card products, which can meet the needs of the most exacting client.

Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC initializes chip cards using its own production capacities. Initialization office of the bank can also issue chip cards for partner banks, which are served by the processing centre of UkrCard JSC.

Earlier, in 2005, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC has obtained permits for issuing the chip cards for Visa International and acquiring the chip cards of both Visa and MasterCard payment systems. Therefore, Ukrgasbank JSB, OJSC is one of a few Ukrainian banks, which hold permits to accept and serve the chip cards in two payment systems. This proves the innovative status of the bank, which provides the latest bank services to its clients.
