The 200th trade finance transaction under the EBRD support

The state-owned UKRGASBANK and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) performed the first trade finance transactions in the summer of 2019. Recently, we have carried out the 200th landmark deal since the beginning of our cooperation.

We are proud to tell you about the customer of UKRGASBANK for which this deal was made. It is a unique export-import domestic enterprise that worked very close to the front line for some time and did not stop production for a moment. Such a bold step is a conscious choice for the management and the staff, who experienced similar events in Ukraine in 2014.

Traditionally, the EBRD supported this deal for up to 6 months with a first-class foreign bank.

Today, UKRGASBANK is the undisputed leader in trade finance in the banking market of Ukraine. Since the russia’s full-scale invasion, we have focused on financing critical imports, which play a crucial role in the state economy.

During the war, UKRGASBANK has already carried out trade finance transactions worth almost EUR 200 million with the help of the EBRD.
