UKRGASBANK becomes the first Ukrainian bank to join SME Finance Forum

UKRGASBANK became the newest member of the SME Finance Forum, a global membership network that brings together 150 financial institutions, technology companies, and development finance institutions to share knowledge, spur innovation, and promote the growth of SMEs. UKRGASBANK is currently the only bank to represent Ukraine at the SME Finance Forum.

“200 million businesses worldwide need financing to invest, grow and create new jobs. We are proud to have UKRGASBANK join our network of 150 members who work to expand access to finance for small and medium businesses”, said Matthew Gamser, CEO of the Forum.

The SME Finance Forum was established by the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion (GPFI) in 2012 as a knowledge center for data, research and best practice in promoting SME finance. In addition to this an implementing partner for the GPFI is International Finance Corporation (IFC) which is also a  partner for UKRGASBANK.

Membership with the SME Finance Forum, aimed at supporting SME financing, will help UKRGASBANK in strengthening its core competencies and allow the bank to expand the network, broaden and strengthen international contacts and linkages with other public and private organizations working in the field of SME policies and programs.
