Ukrgasbank receives EUR 15 million trade finance loan from a European bank

Ukrgasbank has obtained a bilateral unsecured loan in the amount of EUR 15 million from a leading European bank. The 6-month loan will be used to finance foreign trade transactions of Ukrgasbank’s clients.

The fact that the Ukrainian state-owned bank continues to be funded by European financial institutions in the current market conditions is a testament to Ukrgasbank’s strong financial performance and high levels of trust from its international partners.  

The competitive pricing of the loan will enable Ukrgasbank to increase support and financing of its customers' foreign trade transactions.

The Ukrainian government owns 94.94% of Ukrgasbank. Since 2015, Ukrgasbank is on the list of state-owned objects that are of strategic importance to the state's economy and security. Ukrgasbank’s net profit for the first 11 months of 2018 amounted to UAH 688m, which has already exceeded its annual target.

Ukrgasbank is also the only state-owned bank in the Top-5 most stable banks of Ukraine, according to a recent expert survey.
