UKRGASBANK demonstrated a profit of UAH 2.6 billion for the first half of 2023

Since the beginning of 2023, UKRGASBANK has been demonstrating stable and profitable activity. Thus, the Bank's net profit totaled UAH 2.6 billion for six months of 2023, compared to a loss of almost UAH 3.2 billion for the same period in 2022.

As of the beginning of July 2023:

• the Bank's assets reached UAH 154 billion, having increased by UAH 22 billion since the beginning of the year (here and below net of foreign currency exchange rate differences);
• The domestic government bonds portfolio amounted to UAH 29 billion, having increased by UAH 8 billion;
• the portfolio of the NBU three-month deposit certificates totaled more than UAH 10 billion due to the growth of the three-month term household deposits in Hryvnia. Thus, the portfolio of household deposits in Hryvnia amounted to almost UAH 9 billion, having increased by UAH 2.6 billion since the beginning of the year;
• the volume of funds due to customers totaled almost UAH 133 billion, having increased by UAH 20 billion, including Hryvnia balances, having increased by UAH 15 billion.

In the second year of a full-scale russian invasion, UKRGASBANK continues supporting critical sectors of the economy. Since the beginning of 2023, the Bank has provided businesses with new loans for over UAH 4.3 billion, of which UAH 2.4 billion was directed to finance the needs of agricultural and food industry enterprises. UKRGASBANK, as a trade finance leader in the Ukrainian market, concluded more than 300 deals for more than UAH 6 billion to support exports and imports.

"In the first half of 2023, the Bank improved its financial indicators and maintained profitable activity. Due to the war, Ukraine requires attracting investments for recovery and reconstruction. In this regard, we, as a sustainable development bank, plan to focus on affordable lending programs to restore businesses, critical infrastructure, and the economy of Ukraine in general," said Rodion Morozov, Acting Chairman of the Management Board of UKRGASBANK.
