Lending within the framework of the UNIDO Project “Introduction of Energy Management System Standard in Ukrainian Industry”
OUR PARTNER IS THE UNITED NATIONS INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT ORGANIZATION (UNIDO) UKRGASBANK and UNIDO launched an innovative project to finance the implementation of the energy management systems (according to ISO 50001), as well as other energy efficiency measures at Ukrainian enterprises, aiming to make the Ukrainian businesses modern, energy-efficient, competitive in the international markets and furthermore environmentally friendly.
WHAT IS FINANCED?			KEY TERMS OF THE LENDING
1. IMPLEMENTATION AND CERTIFICATION OF THE ENERGY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (according to ISO 50001) in order to save energy consumption by 20-25%			Loan currency and amount: Hryvnia, Euro, US Dollar in the equivalent of up to USD 500 thousand Loan maturity: before 16 October 2025 Repayment schedule: to be set individually Down payment: not required Collateral: not required
2. IMPLEMENTATION OF MEASURES TO OPTIMIZE ENERGY CONSUMPTION, such as Modernization of power supply systems Modernization of production equipment Modernization of ventilation / air conditioning systems Modernization of pumping systems Modernization of cooling systems Modernization of heating systems Modernization of lighting systems

INCENTIVE FOR EnMS-ISO 50001 IMPLEMENTATION FOR LOAN BORROWERS UNDER THE LOAN GUARANTEE FUND
As part implementation of the Project the Incentive for establishment and certification EnMS ISO 50001 was launched. This is an additional Incentive mechanism for the industrial enterprises, financed under the Loan Guarantee Fund, to implement an energy management system. THE INCENTIVE includes a 3-day training on state-of-the-art methodologies for energy performance measurement, monitoring, indicators and baselines; an option of a 2-day Training on EnMS-ISO 50001:2018 implementation); and/or EITHER 40 hours of technical support from UNIDO International Leading EnMS-ISO 50001 Experts OR a cash reimbursement of eq.
