Ukrgasbank’s profit in 2018 amounted to UAH 766 million

According to full-year 2018 results, the profit of Ukrgasbank amounted to UAH 766 million, which is almost 20% higher than the target approved by the Bank's Supervisory Board.

The Bank’s assets increased by almost 20% compared to last year. The loan portfolio of eco-projects has doubled and reached UAH 17.4 billion. Overall, since the beginning of cooperation between Ukrgasbank and the IFC, 145 large-scale renewable energy projects have been implemented. Among them are107 solar power plants, 6 wind power plants, 18 small hydroelectric power plants, 5 TPPs on biomass and 9 biogas power plants.

Ukrgasbank is the leader of green financing in Ukraine when it comes to financing new renewable energy capacities installed in Ukraine from 2017.   

Every fourth megawatt of the "green" tariff in Ukraine was funded with the help of Ukrgasbank. Additionally, the Bank financed a third of new renewable energy projects in 2017 and 50% of all new RES capacities in 2018 (according to NERC's KP data).

As a reminder, the profit of Ukrgasbank for 2017 amounted to UAH 624 million.
